NZ Vinanza® Skin Performance Plus

Vinanza® Performance Plus combines extracts from kiwifruit skins and antioxidant-packed grape seeds, carefully extracted using environmentally friendly process that uses no chemicals, only water. Antioxidants could combat chemically induced oxidative stress occur from hair perming or colouring.

New Zealand Avocado Oil

Rich in nutrients, avocado oil contains Vitamin A, B, B2, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin E, Lecithin, and essential fatty acids that soften and add shine to hair.

Kumerahou Extract

Kumerahou (Pomaderris kumerahou) is an attractive ornamental shrub that has a beautiful yellow flower in late spring. When crushed in the hand and mixed with some water it produces a soapy lather which accounts for its name ‘gumdigger’s soap’ giving you some indication of one of the many traditional uses of this remarkable plant.

We use Kumerahou as an alternative to harsh surfactants such as SLS that strip the skin of its protective oils. This cleansing plant is so gentle and effective.

Harakeke Extract

Harakeke or NZ flax is known for the clear polysaccharide gel produced on the surface of leaves at the base of plant. Flax is unique to New Zealand and is one of our most ancient plant species. The mild astringency of this gel helps control oil overproduction which, coupled with a natural antimicrobial action, it naturally have soothing, hydrating and refreshing effects.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil

Meadowfoam is so called because its infinite tiny white flowers appear like sea-foam as it carpets the fields where it grows.

Made up of over 98% long-chain fatty acids, this nourishing oil is made up of over 98% long-chain fatty acids, for its moisturising and rejuvenating benefits for the skin’s outer epidermis and is absorbed quickly.

New Zealand Manuka Oil

The scientific name of Manuka is Leptospermum Scoparium and its essential oil is sometimes priced higher that the legendary and respected Australian Tea Tree oil, due to its impressive variety of medicinal applications. Its essential oil is derived from the leaves of Manuka through steam distillation. The main components of this oil are caryophyllene, geraniol, pinene, humulene, linalol and leptospermone.

GSENZ Natural Nourishing Shampoo is free from parabens, SLS, artificial colours and fragrances.

• Parabens (PRESERVATIVE): Studies have shown that some parabens can mimic the activity of the hormone estrogen in the body’s cells, and while estrogenic activity is associated with certain forms of breast cancer, parabens have been found present in breast tumors.
• SLS: Causes skin irritant, eye irritant. These levels follow the use of SLS used externally on the scalp and skin, and in the mouth as an ingredient in toothpaste. There are some findings that link the ingredient to a hormone imbalance.
• Artificial colours: Many are made of coal tar, and may contain heavy metal salts like arsenic and lead that can deposit toxicity onto the skin. These toxins and chemicals increase your risk of skin sensitivity and irritation
• Phthalates (FRAGRANCE): plasticizers that have been regarded in many countries to be potential carcinogens are used in part to make the fragrance in shampoos and other cosmetic products linger. Phthalates are also strongly linked to endocrine disruption, early puberty in girls, and increased asthma in children
